Title: how to lengthen a door Post by: renegade53 on October 15, 2009, 07:04:25 PM some customs etc have been made into a 2 door from a 4 door. how do they lenghten the doors and strenghten them. i would imagine that you couldn't make 'em too long as there would be a lot of strain on the hinges.

Title: Re: how to lengthen a door Post by: brock on October 16, 2009, 07:20:02 PM I think there are some pictures of an MG in Custom Car this month that has been "two doored". the procedure seems to be, move the B post back, cut the front door in half, hang the front bit and latch the rear, take the bit you cut out of the rear when you moved the B post and nail it in the gap. I suspect it may reveal itself as a slightly more involved process just after you make the first irreversible cuts
