I used Goodridge fittings on mine. Don't remember the caliper bolts bottoming out, but have been told by the guys selling me the fittings before that if they're too long you can hacksaw the taper off the bottom & seal them with a good copper washer under the bolt head. Maybe not good engineering practice, but as long as it seals O.k it'll work fine.

Ha ha ha!!
I was in the shed earlier, but only to repair 2 yard brooms & a poo shovel for Taz.
She overslept this morning, so I went in to give her a hand, which led to me being given the stuff to fix, followed by going to the petrol station for a jerry can of fuel for her Landie Discovery, (she uses one around the estate but it's not taxed or MOT'd so she can't go on-road with it). Then I helped her bring the horses in from the fields to the stables. Now I'm sorting through the photos from the bike show I was at yesterday & answering emails. In half an hours time we're meeting Renegade at the Guildford car cruise to pick up his CD of scooter photos.
So no, no progress in the shed at all -again.  >:(
