Title: Lorry artwork Post by: Manky Monkey on October 02, 2009, 11:53:42 AM Renegade recently mentioned a couple of lorries he'd seen down his way with some impressive artwork on the cabs. He sent us some pics on a disc -which we immediately lost. Sorry Dave. Found it! ;D

Title: Re: Lorry artwork Post by: JayJay on October 02, 2009, 08:51:55 PM Hi,
They are great. Love Steve McQueen especially in that film. If you like lorry art then you ought to try and get to TruckFest. I went with Chevy Rick this year and really enjoyed it. I like lorries anyway as my dad owned a haulage firm and as a treat, I used to go out on the lorries with him when I was a youngster (sometimes we would be on the road at 3 am and I remember having to wait until 7am before there would be anything on the radio - how times change ::)). Anyway that's another story. Check out this link for more details on TruckFest and for the photos Rick took - http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5969.0 (http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5969.0) JJ ;D Title: Re: Lorry artwork Post by: Manky Monkey on October 02, 2009, 10:13:47 PM Hmm, perhaps we should collate all the truck art pics into one gallery & post them in the Miscellaneous section then.
Title: Re: Lorry artwork Post by: renegade53 on October 03, 2009, 05:56:43 AM the escape to victory truck was at the same place on thursday but as it was 'home time' from the estate parking at the side of the road would of caused problems so i didn't stop. escape to victory was the wartime football film about pow, with mr caine and mr stallone. there's also mephis belle but i haven't seen that one for some time
Title: Re: Lorry artwork Post by: Manky Monkey on October 03, 2009, 12:44:23 PM I was told part of the Memphis Belle film was shot at Blackbushe airport -where you & I started the Surrey Street Rodders' run last weekend. Small World ain't it.
