Looks great. I'm determined to make it out there this year, hopefully in early October for the big nostalgia meet at the Bakersfield drag track. I seem to recall you slating me for suggesting Vegas would be a great place to visit. Revised your opinion now you've been? Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Post by: Manky Monkey on January 27, 2006, 03:39:46 PM Used to have a poster of that when I was a youngster. Like the coastline shot below it. Err, thought Vegas was in the middle of a desert?! Is that the Hoover Dam?
Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Post by: wizzkitt on January 28, 2006, 10:38:15 AM Of course Vegas is in the desert - but I also went to California and saw the Pacific!
I've seen the gold Yam before but I have to admit i got a little emotional seeing it again. ::) Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Post by: wizzkitt on January 28, 2006, 10:38:55 AM And yes Mr Manky, those are two of the inlet towers at the Hoover Dam. :)
Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Post by: Manky Monkey on January 28, 2006, 11:26:01 AM Can you be specific it was the Pacific?
Do those inlet towers suck up the water at the Hoover then? Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Post by: wizzkitt on January 28, 2006, 05:23:59 PM Do those inlet towers suck up the water at the Hoover then? Weirdo. And not totally inaccurate! Seriously you'd love it. As I drove away from the dam, on the parallel road there was a gorgeous 32 coupe towing a little retro caravan, but I couldn't get to the camera in time. Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Post by: Manky Monkey on January 28, 2006, 10:21:35 PM I've started saving my pennies already. 53p so far.
Title: Re: Viva Las Vegas! Post by: wizzkitt on January 28, 2006, 10:25:28 PM I came back with $200 so I've kept that instead of changing it up to start off the fund for the next trip. Even got someone to hide it so I can't be tempted to nip down the Post Office and spend it.
