Is that an amber indicator lens in the middle? If they're Cortina they're quite big aren't they? -bit before my time, (honest!). I'm looking for something all inclusive like that for my hotrod project. Plain red Pontiac replicas look good but don't have the indicator built in cos the whole unit flashes red.

Hello & welcome TrikerDrew by the way!! ;D

It's listed as a BMW 2002 light, the Mk1 Cortina light fitted into the wing of the car and was not a unit so wont work, the other style ones I was looking at are 1960's VW Beetle ones

Gonna mount them on the mudguards or you got bodywork on the trike Borgy? Any idea how big those BM units are?
I'll post that copy of Ol Skool Rodz off to you in the morning by the way. Found a local guy to have a go at retrieving info from my old hard drive but if he doesn't have any luck I'll send it on to you.

There to go on the back of the guards.

There quite a nice size

Trike's interesting. What's the back axle from? Is that a rebuild on an old trike? Did you trike it yourself?
I like those lights. Were they just a one off lot on Ebay or was someone supplying them from stock? I think I'd like some for the hotrod but I'm utterly skint at the moment. Which model of BM are they from?

There BMW 2002 rear lights as per the pic :)

The axel is a Panda 4x4 that have an off set Diff.

I'm doing a re model of the trike

The seller has only one for sale :(

I might end up just using the simple little Landrover/Moggy Minor domed units on the hotrod & maybe frenching them into the fibreglass boot. The car's supposed to be as simple & basic as possible so don't want anything too trick, just tidy.

I might have some of them going mate. I've had a change of plans for the triek and wont be using the ones I have here

That looks like the very kiddies! Not sure if I need reversing lights or not. Will be hunting for an old 50s logbook on Ebay to register the rod with, so might not have to comply with modern regs. I presume they're complete units, not just lenses? How much you want for them Mr B?

there side lights mate

I have 4 red ones 4 orange ones and 2 white ones, there units yes and take them Festoon bulbs.

Not sure on price as they weren't 'cheap' but I'm sure we can make a deal

Combined stop/tail red 'uns?
O.K, put them to one side & we'll sort something on them. 2 amber, & 2 red please. Will probably go for bullet type bike indicators & side ights on the front. If I remember right Mr Flap's got some of those in his garage. Everything gets used somewhere in the end doesn't it :D

Hi, as you seem to have sold these can you tell me where they came from? cheers Pete

Title: Re: Help please with lights

Still for sale Pete. I'm really looking for a single stop/tail unit with maybe a bike type indicator of some sort, (using some chrome bullet ones stolen from Flap's garage on the front). Or ideally a complete stop/tail/flasher unit. So if Borgy's still selling these buy 'em & I'll carry on looking.

I got them from my local car spares factor  E&M Spares, but it looks like I'll be using them now after another change of plan, but I can get them for you if you want

Although I don't think I'll be using 2 Orange ones and 2 White ones so there still for sale

Hee hee! Was talking to Pete, but same goes for you mate! Send us some build piccies -before & after stuff, & I'll nag Yoda into creating a page for you in the Motors section. Haven't had any contributions to the Old Biker Photos page for a while & always interested in old drag racing snaps -or bike racing ones for that matter.

Found the lights for my rod. Flap's just sent me this piccie.
As used on series 3 LandRovers & on the latest Defenders, about 3 quid each, (LandRover stuff is ridiculously cheap), in red, amber or white. Red ones are stop/tail, which is what I was looking for.
Get 'em from PaddockSpares or Craddocks. What's the phone numbers Flappy Geezer?

Mind you for my plans now they might be better suited

No, not flush. Got a sticky-out bit on the back. Fine for my use cos they'll be frenched into the fibreglass rear panel of my rod. Can't go wrong for that price can you.
