http://www.bikeweb.com/ These use reliant engines too a friend of mine has one and they also use Moto Guzzi gearboxes. Title: Re: Another interesting site or two Post by: Manky Monkey on August 31, 2008, 05:18:01 PM Reminds me of Ken Newell's Quasars from the 70s.
I'd be interested to see how the Guzzi box marries up to the Reliant motor. Did they build an auto Guzzi? Title: Re: Another interesting site or two Post by: TwistedPatience on August 31, 2008, 05:45:45 PM I think these where something to do with them in some vague way but not sure yet.
And also with a chap named Royce whom I think lives around here. I will aslo try to get photo's an a write up of Q's Voyager if I can. Title: Re: Another interesting site or two Post by: Manky Monkey on August 31, 2008, 06:34:36 PM Ooh, yes please! We get so many promises of write ups but very few actually arrive.
If anyone owns or knows of an interesting vehicle, whether it's 2, 3 or 4 wheeled, grab a few photos & jot down a few words for us please. G'wan, g'wan, g'wan. ;D Title: Re: Another interesting site or two Post by: TwistedPatience on August 31, 2008, 06:36:24 PM Reminds me of Ken Newell's Quasars from the 70s. Did you mean Malcolm Newell by any chance. Title: Re: Another interesting site or two Post by: Manky Monkey on August 31, 2008, 06:41:47 PM Just checking you were paying attention. ;)
Designed by Malcolm Newell & Ken Leaman. Title: Re: Another interesting site or two Post by: TwistedPatience on August 31, 2008, 07:50:27 PM Looks like there is an adaptor plate to fit the guzzi box to the reliant will e-mail Q (the owner of Voyager 03) and see if he has any drawings.
The motors where also tuned to produce 60BHP by a company called SCL. |
