Title: twist n go scrots Post by: hornet6 on August 08, 2008, 09:42:20 PM hi all u lot.Do any of u lot own a twist n go scrot? Lets get this straight from the start.I love my bikes and anything to do with bikes and the custom scene, from streetighters to chops n trikes.I own a hornet 600 which is a decent bike, ive had it over 4 years now and each time i think about selling it i just cant bring myself to part with it,just yet.Anyway,to keep the hornet looking good,i use a scooter, purely for the commuting back n forth to work{20 miles a day}It makes perfect sense, its nippy n small, econominal and cheap to insure and tax.The trouble is,they seem to be the most hated form of transport to other motorists.Drivers hate them because they're quicker away from the lights and can filter into the smallest gaps.Today,as i was going home from work,a vespa rider was coming the opposite way.I nodded to him,and he stuck his 2 fingers up to me.Then, about a mile down the road,a harley rider came the opposite way as well.I nodded, and he just stuck his nose in the air and looked the other way.Twist n go scrots, hated by everyone. And thats why ime begining to luv em.

And yeah, some of the kids that ride em are a pain in the ar**, but we all started somewere. Title: Re: twist n go scrots Post by: TwistedPatience on August 08, 2008, 11:05:35 PM A lot of Harley riders do that think their better than us, not sure why tho'
Title: Re: twist n go scrots Post by: BikerGran on August 09, 2008, 10:08:56 AM A lot of Harley riders refuse to acknowledge anyone except other Harley riders - so they say. If it's true it makes them very sad people but I reckon it's cos they daren't take their hands off the bars or move their heads cos they don't know what the bike will do, after all they only ride on sunny days and this is England!
I hasten to add the above does not apply to those bikers who happen to ride Harleys but are nevertheless ordinary bikers! Title: Re: twist n go scrots Post by: lunatic on August 09, 2008, 01:26:07 PM I used to have an Aprillia sr125 scoot. I secretly still like them! Antisocial, noisey, little hooligan machine it was! Has to be a 2 stroke though! ;D
Title: Re: twist n go scrots Post by: TwistedPatience on August 09, 2008, 04:12:03 PM I must admit I fancy a C50/90 like the one in BC this issue and would be far more economical for work GS hardly gets warm.
But I do like small well tuned 2 strokers and according to some Nitrous works better on 2'S. Title: Re: twist n go scrots Post by: Firery Fred on August 10, 2008, 06:04:48 PM This Harley rider nods to everyone >:( even the sports bike wa**ers who don't nod back >:( >:( >:(
