Title: Intruder 750 Post by: klogan45 on November 29, 2007, 07:34:08 PM Can some one please help with a problem that's driving me and bikerpsycho mental...wibble wibble!!
Bikerpsycho has an intruder 750, the clutch went so between us we fixed it!!! Fixed being a matter of opinion. Its a hydraulic clutch. The clutch is not disengaging the drive. If you pull in the clutch lever and try to start the engine it pulls forward. I suggested bleeding the master cylinder... that did'nt work but I noticed that when you pump the lever, some small bubbles come in to the resevoir and if you pull the lever in quickly some of the fluid comes up like a little (tiny) fountain, about half an inch high. Would this be a clue that the master cylinder seals are banjaxed? It may be a very basic question but we do need a little help...Please. We can then sort it out and get the little bugger out from under my feet sometimes. He's a good lad but you can have too much of a good thing ;D ;D ;D ( I expect he'll read this and i could be in trouble .... again ;D ;D ;D) Thanks a lot Regards Keith Title: Re: Intruder 750 Post by: toad on November 30, 2007, 09:53:11 PM ah ha you have the trapped air syndrom i bet its a nissen master cyl fitted? its an easy cure! take the cap off and pull the lever about a dozen times and release slowly you should get a stream of very small bubbles do this 2 or three times and then bleed as normal dont worry about the small fountain in the cyl thats just the displaced fluid returning.that should cure it ;)
