Title: m m motors overload Post by: hornet6 on November 18, 2007, 08:14:29 PM just luv this site so much its sending me into info overload. as ive explained before,i intend to try having a go at building a chopper. ive more or less sussed out in my head the logical steps how to start and been on various links from this site, how to go about building it. at the moment ime waiting for the taper bearings for the forks, which should be hear by the end of next week, and then i will be able to start work on the headstock and hopefully with a lot of luck it should all start coming together. only problem is,is that when ive got spare time i always come on this site and start looking at all the pics of the hot rods mainly the ford pops, which ive always loved and wanted. what makes things even worse is the fact that on my way to work,i pass a garage that sells old cars and they've got one on the forecourt thats been there for 12 months with a sold sign on it. but its still there every day! it makes me feel like selling the hornet the scooter the pushbike and the dog just so i can buy that one. help me,ime a tormented soul.
Title: Re: m m motors overload Post by: Manky Monkey on November 18, 2007, 10:55:44 PM I'm afraid there's no cure mate. Once the bug's bitten you're buggered for life. Insanity & insolvency await you. A chop for the Summer & a Pop for the Winter. Makes perfect sense to me. I'm gonna have a trike & a truck.
Mouse sent me a pic of his old Pop the other day. Not his Dad. His Ford. "Lemon Popsicle". I remember this one from way back. A full write up as soon as he sends it, (hint, hint!).
