Title: Anything for the weekend?
Post by: Manky Monkey on November 09, 2007, 06:51:00 PM
Seems to have been a bit quiet in here lately. What have you all been up to?
Anyone doing anything interesting this weekend?
Taz & I are both working on Saturday morning, then I'm hoping to meet up with Doc Senior at Lunatic's workshop on Saturday afternoon to take delivery of the trike headlight bracket he's made me, (he's passing through Basingstoke to collect a bike). If he's got time I'll take him across town to my lock-up so we can try said bracket on my trike. Then Taz, Janie, Dave & I will be cruising to Newbury in Berks in Dave's Consul, with it's freshly skimmed cylinder head, to enjoy the Valley Gas Speed Shop open evening & chilli night.
Sunday morning sees Taz & I attending the West Clandon Remembrance Day service. Tazzie's standard bearer for the women's arm of her local British Legion, (& rightly very proud of it too), & I'll be helping out with the marshalling. Then, if we get back to Basingstoke early enough, I'd like to finish the roofchop on my Pop at Loony's place.
So- what are you lot up to?

Not a lot for me, trying to catch up on the housework as I've got a meeting at work next week and may be back at work afterwards.

How did you arrive at the figure of 41 quid? If it's got gauges for a full size gas bottle, they're worth that on their own. What sort of metal in the sump? Ally or steel?
Bobbi, give Mr Yodles a kiss on the nose from us when you see him please.  :-*

evening ladies and gents. ime picking up my taper bearings for the forks on my chop project. i managed to see one of our ex-employees who i got on with quite well when he worked at our place. he was the machine shop team leader and ime the charge-hand of the engineering/fab shop,so between us both we would help each other with our foreigner projects. he would do all the machining i wanted, and i would do all his fabrication/welding,me being a coded tig welder in stainless and aluminium not bragging u know.   anyway he was headhunted by a rival company and he now runs a state of the art machine shop and hes going to machine my headstock for the chop all for a couple a pints.not bad aye
