Title: Dave-posties new toy Post by: tazet on October 15, 2007, 11:06:34 PM While out and about today, Manky & I called at Janie and Dave's house to drop off a roof rack for Janie's Dad, Jacko. Dave was working on this little bike which hopefully I can use when I get round to doing my bike test.

My first bike was an RXS100, very similar and great fun to ride! Title: Re: Dave-posties new toy Post by: Manky Monkey on October 16, 2007, 10:01:23 AM Yup, RS Bobbi.
Dave got it for nothing & was aiming to get it back on the road for less than 100 quid. He's just reached the 100 mark & probably got another 50 or so to spend, so a megabuck project! Brand new battery, 5 quid. Rebore, new piston & rings, 27 quid etc. Dave's recommendation for cleaning the gummy residue of old petrol from carbs & tanks -Cillit Bang bathroom cleaner, (a kind of bleach). The carb parts looked like new. I think Dave Satan's selling an RS isn't he? Title: Re: Dave-posties new toy Post by: BikerGran on October 16, 2007, 10:09:45 AM I've just bought 2 wheels off fleabay for my RXS - about £25 inc postage - wonder if they'll be any good?

Title: Re: Dave-posties new toy Post by: BikerGran on October 16, 2007, 10:14:26 AM Collecting bits ATM with a view to rebuilding. It was such a fun bike I couldn't bear to part with it, I want to put it back on the road and try riding it just locally. Being so light I reckon my leg could cope with it, and the gear change is almost effortless so that might be ok too.
Remains to be seen how I feel about being on 2 wheels tho! Title: Re: Dave-posties new toy Post by: PD on October 16, 2007, 12:38:22 PM ha! i had 1 of them too! it rocked! and wiv a bit of fiddlin i went pretty damn good! 8)

Title: Re: Dave-posties new toy Post by: Manky Monkey on October 17, 2007, 11:17:01 AM We followed Shaun's Panther through Tunbridge at the weekend. Smoked more than any 2 stroke. When we lost sight of him in the traffic we just followed the billowing smoke clouds. :P
