Sounds good. I'd love to play an instrument. Got no co-ordination at all but would love something like a banjo. I'm told it's a really difficult one to learn though.

i suppose any instrument's daunting,especially when others make it look so easy,ive been playing since about 1970,yet bought a mandolin a couple of years ago ,and it just frustrates me that i cant make it do what i want.............re the banjo,it can IMO be a very cool or annoying instrument,its EASY to get a recognisable tune out of one ,but i know very few people that can play one so that i enjoy listening to it,actually the guitarist in my last band bought a really expensive Gibson Masterclass banjo a few years ago,and left it in his car,while we were setting the band gear on stage,because he didnt want his new pride and joy knocked over and damaged.When he went out to the car to get it ,he saw that some scumbag had popped the window in his car,and when he looked inside ,the arsehole had put another bleedin banjo on his back seat LOL LOL LOL ;D

Stevie, who drops by here occasionally & is one of my Postal delivery customers, plays a mando. He's got 3 or 4, including a very cool looking steel one. Plays at loads of bike events as Stevie, one bloke, one mandolin. I was at the Dorset Steam Fair last year & they had half a dozen music marquees -it was like a festival for the Young Farmers association. Some great live stuff being played -blue grass, country rock, that kinda thing. There was a guy with a mandolin, providing the accompaniment for a troupe of women clog & tap shoe dancers, (yeah, sounds weird but they were pretty good actually. They were called "Spank the Plank"). He was fantastic, a real virtuoso & as you say, made it look unbelievably easy. Git.

yeah and she still blows her own trumpet.....sorry janie, couldnt resist ;) ;D
