hi,new to this site,not sure what to do with this.any ideas.i had an idea that i would get something,modern, (if you can call this modern)its the first bike ive had with monoshock,so it is modern to me,even though it's 20 plus years old,n to be honest,on reflection,its not my kind of thing.but it was cheap.the pic hereabouts has obviously been fannyd with (badly)by me,but that's what it looks like apart from the silencer,which is a marshall deeptone,also bear in mind im the poorest person in britain.

I beg to differ Sir. I think you'll find I already hold that title!

I like that Suzi. Is it a Katana or a modern variation on the theme? I'm still stuck in the late 70s/early 80s as far as bikes are concerned. Only modern ones I've owned were a Speed Triple & a CB1000. I'd happily ride that as an everyday work bike though. And, no, I haven't got the money to buy it off you!
Of course, you could always trike it!  ;D

its a gsx750es,very similar to a late model 750 kat,in fact the reg no ends with D***KAT,but confusingly its as popular as a pork pie in a rabbi's fridge ,whereas the 750 kat is very popular,n basicly its the bodywork thats different.

Looks alright to me. What did you have in mind for it?

dont really have anything in mind for it,but at the moment its the only bike ive got,or can afford,IMO its not worth enough to sell and get something else,so something needs to be done,dont like the euro kind of style,did think about trying to get a normal type gs 750 tank,and ratting it,but ?????

dodgy white seat is just bare foam at the mo,need to find upholstery supplier in glasgow.think the prob is,not sport bike (allbe it 80s style)minded at all,far too old for that.

can't trike it,has'nt got a reliant engine.
i used to have a reliant trike,it was horrid,but i loved it.may just tidy up the loose ends on the gsx n' keep it as a hack,funny but for some reason,and i dont know what it is,i just cant get attached to it.i've owned and built/modded/restored over 50 bikes,everything from mz's to brits,japs,ruskies,chops,cafe racers,enduros,n' this dont float my boat.

it doesnt have to be a reliant, im gonna build me a trike with a series 5, 1.8i bmw motor  ;D

should have photos,dont think theres any close ups though,was a built trike when i got it,so i dont really know tech details,etc,i'll see what ive got.

I had a 955i Triumph Speed Triple a couple of years ago. I loved it -a real hooligan bike. Never had anything with that sort of performance before & found myself travelling at stupid speed everywhere. I sold it after a year cos I was either going to lose my licence or my life, or both & bought a CB1000 Honda. Big red sports tourer thingy. Similar top speed but just mind numbingly boring. I'd ride 100 miles on it, get off & walk away without even glancing back at it.
Some bikes just don't press the right buttons & some get right into your soul.

I used to till I got in trouble with Jojo who helped Bruce build my trike - down at Poole Quay one night I was looking at his Hayabus trike and he overheard me saying I couldn't see the point!

We got into conversation about it and he said he still loved the Busa and wanted the speed and accelleration but he didn't want it falling over on him again!  I agree they don't look prettytho.

I'm not keen on bike/trike conversions either -they always look like exactly what they are -a conversion, not a fully fledged original build. I would've taken the tailpiece & rear subframe off & fitted a big solo saddle in it's place. I just liked it's chunky look.

When I was having mine MOT';d at U-Drive in Poole a bloke from the hire place asked me if mine was a conversion or whether it had been built that way.

I vaguely remember going to a Southampton MAG custom & classic show at the Ocean Village shopping mall many years ago. The MAG guys n girls put on a fashion show with clothes supplied by the trade stalls onsite. The finale saw a dozen ruffty tuffty bikers dancing the Time Warp.

More of a blues & R & B guy myself -proper Rythm & BLUES, not the talentless Rythm & Bass they pump out on the radio now.
Had hoped to go see the Hamsters' Hendrix set at the Farnham Maltings on Monday night, but just can't afford it at the moment. With luck we'll catch the last gig of the Hamsters, Wilco Johnson, Jon Ottway tour in Warrington in November. Saw the tour at The Brook in Southampton & it's well worth travelling for. 

im the same really ,peter green,chicken shack,dr feelgood,savoy brown,john mayall,mostly british blues that i listen too,only started playing country bout 12-13 yrs ago n it grew on me...........a bit like that chicken i suppose.

I've seen the Hamsters maybe a dozen times over the years. Still fantastic every time. Weirdest gig would have to be when they played the Basingstoke food court in the town centre one evening. Hendrix & ZZ Top blasting out from among the burger & jacket potato counters, surrounded by plastic potted palms.
Very odd.

best gig i stumbled on, was when out on a run on the bike,stopped off for a beer in a village in northumberland n heard blues out of the back room and it was mick taylor and stan webb,awesome
