Title: Isle of Wight classic car show photos.
Post by: Manky Monkey on September 19, 2007, 02:26:58 PM
Triker Pete's just sent these to me. Thanks mate. Looks like a nice little show. The Moggy Minor crew-cab pickup's intriguing & I liked the nice, simple Pop. Janie, how about the Consul with roll back sunroof & 50s caravan?
                                       Thanks again Pete.  ;)

Me too. Very subtle. I recognise a couple of the cars from other shows we've been to this year, but most are new to me. Maybe they never leave the island.

The caravan and consul is definately for me.  When dave received the steel visor the other day, he also received a box of bits and in there was a towbar which I'm hoping will be fitted to my consul (betty blue).

Dave and I also did a colleagues delivery as overtime last week and in the front garden of one customer was a tiny two-tone caravan which stopped me in my tracks.  I asked one of the guys who lives in that very road and he's had a word with the couple, its been in the garden for 7 years and they use it as storage!!! Dave and I have offered to buy them a shed in exchange for the caravan - haven't heard anything back yet.

Mum and dad have also just come back from IOW, and Dad managed to attend a bike event over there, but I'm afraid as he's still in the dark ages, I'm having to wait patiently for the pics.  Bless Him.

Still waiting for a write up on his trike too Janie. Go on, nip round & take some piccies for us!
You don't need a 50s caravan, you need a time machine. Mind you, seeing the contents of your house & garage, maybe you'e already got one!  :D
Where on earth would you keep the caravan?

Hopefully one day in the garage we rent.  I'd love to buy some vintage fabric and go mad with the curtains and upholstery.  Wouldn't that be cool.
