Title: Relaint Trike Frame Post by: Phixer on September 10, 2007, 11:40:00 AM Hi Guys,
I am completely new to this trike building lark but have convinced myself that I can build a nice squat little trike. I have my engine and axle (which I need to narrow) but I need some help with the frame. Now I have this idea in my head to make the frame a soft-tail (getting to old for bumpy rides) I have spoken to Panthershaun about this and he reckons you guys are the poel to ask. Are there any good frame builders out there that I can discuss my design with and how much would I expect to pay for the frame. I want it to look pretty chunky..not this thin old stuff perhaps inch and three quarter tubing? Any advice would be appreciated? ??? All my frames have been hardtails -much simpler to build & not nearly as bumpy as you'd expect. ByzMax would be the chap to talk to -there should be a couple of threads here concerning his soft-tail XS1100 trike. He's looking to go into business as a trike builder & certainly knows what he's doing. I can PM you his mobile number if you need it.
