Title: Re: The last post. Post by: Plainy Janie on August 07, 2007, 05:38:41 PM For me it can only be a classic bike funeral. Met a chap at Poole Quay last year and liked his set up. If you go into the photo gallery, you have to double click on the pages to turn them.
http://www.bikerfuneralsltd.co.uk/photos.htm A guy at work lost his dad last year, and he arranged a classic bike funeral, where the hearse was a sidecar setup and Bob got to ride pillion. I believe it may have been an old triumph. Title: Re: The last post. Post by: Manky Monkey on August 07, 2007, 08:13:04 PM I chatted to a guy at th Ace Cafe last year who had a modern Hinckley Triumph hearse/sidecar combo. Told me he'd done a funeral where the whole cortege was booked for not wearing helmets on their way to the cemetary -except the guy in the coffin who's helmet was on top of the box!
A morbid subject but I'd like my ashes taken up to Loch Shiel in the Scottish Highlands by a few old bike club buddies & scattered. Mentioned that on another forum once & someone replied Typical, come up here & leave your litter! Title: Re: The last post. Post by: Manky Monkey on August 07, 2007, 09:00:48 PM Just downloaded a discful of photos Rainbow gave me today. Found this among them, taken at MotorcycleWorld, Beaulieu.
Title: Re: The last post. Post by: Plainy Janie on August 07, 2007, 09:18:32 PM Typical, come up here & leave your litter! Talk about laugh out loud, how funny was that! Oh don't make me laugh, its too painful. Title: Re: The last post. Post by: Plainy Janie on August 07, 2007, 09:20:38 PM Yes as morbid as it may seem, its always helpful to talk to people about how you'd like to go. :)
Title: Re: The last post. Post by: Chevy Rick on August 07, 2007, 09:30:23 PM Give us a clue Janie ??? I'd like to go with a smile on my face.....Fat chance. >:(
Title: Re: The last post. Post by: Plainy Janie on August 07, 2007, 09:38:47 PM Not sure what you mean Rick by giving you a clue. I'd like to use Albert Coopers hearse setup being pulled by a classic british bike, with my friends all riding behind me. Then afterwards at my wake, I want you all to have a party with lots of laughter. ;)

Title: Re: The last post. Post by: BikerGran on August 07, 2007, 10:02:56 PM The photo is of a hearse from 'Motorcycle Funerals' run by Paul Sinclair who used to be known as 'the faster pastor' or 'the revvin rev'. A really nice bloke, you can see his story on his website http://www.fasterpastor.com/index.htm (http://www.fasterpastor.com/index.htm) and details of the funeral service are on http://www.motorcyclefunerals.com/ (http://www.motorcyclefunerals.com/)
