Hi Bobbi Manky has tried to change his holiday time but they won't let him. Unfortunatley the week he has off in Sept is not that week. I'm sorry but we will be dropping out too. The strikes have not helped financially either and the sale still has not gone through on the flat and we have no idea when that will happen. So sorry to let you down. Next year we will go.

So having said that I have 2 theatre tickets free to a good home. Just PM your address to either Manky or myself and we will send them on.

I shall be going whatever happens as I have RBR landmarks to do in Cornwall, I'll check if any of my cornish friends want to go to the theatre.  But not till I get back from my hols.

I'm sorry Bobbi. We really wanted to go, but things just haven't gone quite according to plan lately. The Post Office strikes, (which appear to have achieved absolutely nothing), have hit us hard, the sale of my flat's still ongoing, (still waiting to sign the contracts & no idea when the money will be available), plus I can't change my holiday dates to suit. So we're buggered really. We've got 2 tickets for the Minack Theatre, free to anyone who can make use of them. Shame cos I was looking forward to that.
And I'm as keen to get my damn trike on the road as you Hon I assure you! x

Been busy gettin' the trike up to scratch for the occasion.

I emailed both the campsites 2 days ago but have not replies from either.  I will try to ring them tomorrow.

Doc - I think it's probably best that you contact the sites to book your own camping.  My email to the site included booking for your friends as you said go ahead and book, who now are not camping so it's probably as well that I haven't had contact from the sites.

I don't expect to be going anywhere near Taunton, I'll look at my route tonight and let you know.

Yes, had a brief email from him, his life is hectic but he's coming and he's got theatre tickets.

Hope everyone has flags, bells, whistles, horns etc!  I got my self an air horn, it's VERY LOUD!


UPDATE!   I contacted Kelynack, they're not busy so no need to book!

Unless anyone has any suggestions it looks a bit like we won't meet up till we get to the First campsite, seems a bit of a shame but we're all coming from different directions.  I'll be heading for Sherborne first as I have an RBR Landmark to visit there, then A30 yeovil - Chard - Exeter.  Quite happy to divert a bit to meet up...

Day 2  A38 Plymouth - Bodmin - A30 Penzance - St Just.  I'll be making a couple of detours to Perranporth to the Giant Sundial (http://www.cornwalls.co.uk/photos/img344.htm) and then to Chysauster Ancient Village (http://www.britainexpress.com/counties/cornwall/ancient/chysauster.htm) - they'll both be interesting to see so I hope you'll come too, otherwise we can meet up at the campsite again.

Well only part of it's bust but it's the joystick bit so I can't look at what I've taken or change any settings!

Well finally got back about 3pm today, very very wet ride home.

The prom's where brilliant it didn't matter that they didn't play any Motorhead the venue is what makes it special and IT WAS.

Next year I PROMISE I'll be there with Mrs Manky. I'd love to do that theatre trip.

I got home about 3.30 but then I declined the photo opportunity at Lands End.

The camping was fine, weather was good enough to sit around and chat outside the tents and I didn't even need my heater which was just as well cos I didn't take the right kind of gas...

We didn't actually get across to Burgh Island as it seemed a bit of a walk for a couple of crocks, but we viewed it and took phots and very picturesqueee it was too!

As Doc said the theatre was amazing and the moon put on a spectactular show of lighting a path across the water and I had the loudest air horn in the place!  Well worth the visit, even the really wet and foggy ride home!

There was no sign of ByzMax who was definitely coming and he hasn't responded to text messages either - I know he's really busy but it would be good to know he's ok...............

We will be there Bobbi providing work does not get in the way.

Hi All

Sadly i had to cancel at the last minute as although we had arranged some time back to be Kid free this weekend I found out friday am that certain parties had forgotten so ended up having to go and collect my little'un on friday evening from school and did not get back here till gone six. Was going to fly down early saturday but have to have him back to his mums by 8pm Sunday so he would have spent the entire weekend on the move and only being 9 it would not be fair on him.


Sorry I did not reply to your texts Bobbi but I dropped my phone a couple of weeks back and the screen has gone blank. It still gets the mesages but I can't read em or respond to them I just know that i have messages. I awaiting a new phone!

On the positive side I managed to agree a sale of on the Beach Bastard over the weekend so if I had have been away I might have missed it!


Looking forward to seeing some pics and stuff of the weekend and sorry that I missed a great weekend. I was really looking forward to this and am somewhat miffed at missing out! >:(
