Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: Manky Monkey on June 05, 2007, 04:08:26 PM Hmm, could you be a little more specific Yodie.
I'm guessing it's a Photoshop, Layers thing? Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: triker9999 on June 05, 2007, 07:21:53 PM i guess if Yoda did it , he must have used "The Force" :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
and yes, before anybody out there mentions, i am sure he has heard that one before!!!!! Mark Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: talkepressurewashers on June 05, 2007, 10:16:08 PM or like this even
Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: Manky Monkey on June 06, 2007, 08:33:02 AM Show off! ;D
That's a different thing though isn't it? I own this site, but as you can see, know nuffink about the techy side of things. Yours is a second picture inserted into the first. I can probably do that, but how do you select certain areas of a photo to appear coloured while the rest is black & white? Do you have to create a b/w image & a colour image, somehow cut out the bit you want, then superimpose one over the other? Manky -stoopid, but keen to learn. Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: talkepressurewashers on June 06, 2007, 09:56:56 AM hi i just made the pic of my bike black and white then put colour pics on top
Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: tazet on June 06, 2007, 12:20:34 PM I can do this but thats just basic. Not got Photoshop at my house.
Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: talkepressurewashers on June 06, 2007, 01:30:08 PM i used nero photosnap for mine you can do loads of things with it
Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: yoda on June 06, 2007, 06:32:47 PM the simple answer is you overlay the colour image over the B+W one and rub away the colour bits you dont want
revealing the B+W you wanna keep (masks give you better control over whats erased, but thats another story) Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: panthershaun on June 06, 2007, 09:30:38 PM ??? ??? ??? ??? :'(
Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: Manky Monkey on June 06, 2007, 10:07:00 PM I'll have a play with that tomorrow Yodie ;D
So how do you overlay them? I used to have Nero. Used it as my default photo viewing thingy, then one day I was midway through viewing a folderful of new pics & it shut down on me. Never managed to get it working since. Annoying cos it had handy effects like photo aging, not just sepia or black & white, but faded sepia with scratches & stuff. Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: yoda on June 07, 2007, 01:30:26 PM in photoshop
in the layer palette right click on the image layer and choose duiplicate layer the flick between em both in the layer palette Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: Manky Monkey on June 07, 2007, 05:10:29 PM Sounds easy when you say it quick like that.
Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: BikerGran on June 07, 2007, 11:02:54 PM It is of course - if you know how!
Years ago I created a database for our club membership using MS Access which had a useful 'Wizard' which did most of the work. But I realised that Access was a useful tool that could do a lot more than I knew how to do, an d I mentioned this to someone I knew who was into computers in a big way, and he lent me a manual he'd written for an Access course he had taught. I didn't like to tell him I didn't understand a word of it! ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: Manky Monkey on June 07, 2007, 11:23:17 PM I've got "Windows for Dummies" & can't understand that either! I need a coloured keyboard & an instruction book that says first press the red key, then the blue one etc.
Title: Re: Flamed Pop. Post by: BikerGran on June 07, 2007, 11:33:18 PM I had a book like that - Mike 'lent' it to someone, and of course he can't remember who.................
