Title: Gaydon Post by: Jonnyfp on September 10, 2005, 08:39:00 AM No not yodas house..lol
I'm lucky enough to have a brother who works there but the heritige museum is fasinating, one offs and cancelled projects for the military and racing industries, plus the turbine powered rovers that won monticarlo in the 60's. Theres a mini jungle track for the open days too. gawd knows what the proper one must be like. http://www.carpages.co.uk/lotus/lotus_and_caterham_cars_come_to_gaydon_10_11_03.asp?switched=on&echo=293117188 Its funny to see a K series lump in there as a museum piece when its still considered to be current motor. RIP longbridge. :'( long live Landrover :D Title: Re: Gaydon Post by: Jonnyfp on September 10, 2005, 09:34:42 AM I have only done the bike museum once..which is pretty shocking when i only live about 10 miles from it. ???
I would have liked to seen it before the fire. Title: Re: Gaydon Post by: Jonnyfp on September 10, 2005, 09:46:23 AM Prolly felt like giving up smoking.. ;D
No it was a sad day, In January they had that Norton nemesis white elephant. And a some gorgeous cafe racers Clubman nortons and goldies. I hear now they have 80% of the bikes they had before, and still loan bikes are coming in. The Austin 1100 club bought it from Austin, it was used for a promotion when those vehicles were current. Title: Re: Gaydon Post by: Manky Monkey on November 06, 2005, 09:45:09 AM Very clever.
