if you think that is the first of a series of pics, WRONG that is how far i have got, maybe breakneck speed was not right, a slight shuffle maybe... the pic below shows a grit type disc which is fantastic at removing mill scale but is very gentle on clean steel, the reflection from the 12mm thick steel plate was archieved in just 1 minute, mind you go anywhere near a burr, or sharp edge and the pads quickly wears away. Ooh, a posh headstock alignment thingy doofah. We use the more traditional broom handle, blocks of wood, old paint tins & gaffer tape method here. Useful stuff cos you can tack it together, decide it's all wrong, knock it apart and do it again!
