Title: Dave's Diner Post by: klogan45 on February 20, 2007, 10:14:03 PM Went down to Looe, the one in Cornwall, not the one in the bathroom, today. Great little place, then on to Polperro. While we were in looe, we wuz 'ungry and fancied some fish and chips. Went into daves Diner. Its in one of the back streets. Got real cod, real chips, not those extruded things that most of the main street chippies do, a mug of tea and bread and butter. SCRUMMY, £5.95 and worth every penny, very highly recommended, give it a try if you're down that way, not flashy but good food.

Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: klogan45 on February 20, 2007, 10:59:33 PM Had quite a few holidays in Looe with the family, used to go down with the trailer tent. Very nice in the season, but out of season most things close down except for the week-ends. Used to ge there a lot when I was a kid too. On the train from Plymouth, change trains at Saltash, then on to Looe. Spent quite a bit of time there as a teenager, many moons ago that was ;D very fond memories. May well have passed you in the street without knowing :) :) :)

Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: klogan45 on February 21, 2007, 11:08:22 AM Stranger things hapen at sea? Who knows, we never will i suppose, but a weird thought though! Looe is;nt that big and I used to go quite frequently, once a week some times in the week sometimes at week-ends.
Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: BikerGran on February 21, 2007, 06:49:21 PM I lived in Cornwal for a while as a very small child but never went to any of those places! Course it was prolly before any of you were even thought of!

I'm only 32 :'( :'( got more than 5 years to go. I meant, you'll have to wait another 5 years after you're 60, unlike me who gets my pension at 60. It's just as well cos I couldn't keep going anyway, and I think there will be a lot more getting retired on ill health when the retiring age is raised. You can say that again ;D Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: klogan45 on February 24, 2007, 10:02:58 AM You certainly do, but then we're worth it, are'nt we? ;D
You ladies are so skilled at everything you do why should we 'muscle in' and muck it all up. My wife, Aileen is fantastic, she cooks, cleans sew's, looks after me, does the bills. I touch anything in the house and it always goes wrong, I can muck up the accounts in nothing flat, set fire to the kitchen and dye all of my white shirts pink :-[ :-[, burn me ear if i'm ironing and the phone rings ;D She asked me to iron the curtains once, I fell out the window ;D I do offer to do things but the words Flamin' and disaster area creep into the conversation. :( So I stick to working and building things. The really annoying thing is that Aileen is pretty good at that too!!!! :) The only thing that she can't do is drive a car or ride a bike. Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: tazet on February 24, 2007, 10:07:06 AM I can fix things and cook but leave the cleaning and Ironing to manky. I'm good at messing things up but not so good at the tidying bit and I hate ironing shirts but he has to do his work ones so I just leave him to it ;D I'm also quite good at organising things too ;D
Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: klogan45 on February 24, 2007, 10:15:20 AM And a class 1 :) See, girls are magic ;D ;D
Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: BikerGran on February 24, 2007, 11:14:34 AM I NEVER iron and hate cleaning. Can cook but I'm fed up with it after years and years....
Lawnmowing and house painting, now you're talking! And best of all. messing about with bikes and trikes! But not washing them. :-\ Title: Re: Dave's Diner Post by: Manky Monkey on February 24, 2007, 11:58:35 AM I haven't got a lawn, just a window box. I'm thinking of crazy paving it to cut down on the maintenance.
