Title: Guy Martin Fake Licence Post by: JayJay on December 29, 2019, 02:20:13 AM Did anyone see this article about Guy Martin? I never knew he was autistic. Does explain a few things. He must be quiet high on the spectrum though.

Title: Re: Guy Martin Fake Licence Post by: JayJay on December 31, 2019, 12:33:24 AM One of my relatives is too but fortunately diagnosed as quite high on the spectrum. It just never crossed my mind that he was. It's only through knowing now that I could think back on programmes I've watched about him that this makes sense of some of his actions. I don't think of my relative as being on the autism spectrum but then they react in certain situations, and I think yes, that makes sense.
I have taught students with Aspergers at Uni and it is difficult enough to adapt material so that it fits their specific needs but thankfully not as difficult as some of the autistic children in special schools. When I was a teenager I helped out at a special school. I always remember this young girl of about 9 years old who spent most of her time screaming and pulling her hair. If you went near her she would bite or scratch. If your daughter deals with children even half as severe as that on a daily basis then she's golden and so are her colleagues. :) Title: Re: Guy Martin Fake Licence Post by: stinkey on December 31, 2019, 05:04:35 PM JJ ..she works with some really violent kids who are much taller than her..but she's feisty like her mum and dad😇
She even looks after a young boy who is Downs syndrome with other complications at weekends so his family can have a respite from his difficult ways.. |
