Title: End of an era Post by: TwistedPatience on December 18, 2019, 02:11:41 PM Well after a horrendous two years with a new manager I finally handed my notice in, 19 years in the same job and not even an offer to keep me.
I start a new job on the 20 Jan 2020 as a mast climber service engineer and hopefully move to south wales as soon as we can (closer to Tony tho god knows why) Few logistical problems to get over ie moving a 1 tonne Milling machine, but as its much better pay I hope to get a company in to sort it. Still will keep the trike (she a member of the family now) and stay on here. Merry Christmas to all Monkeys Here's to a great New Year. You might find your house moving company will move the mill. Ours was happy to take all my gear plus three bikes and the trike. Title: Re: End of an era Post by: TwistedPatience on December 20, 2019, 06:04:17 AM Never thought of that good call Olds.
Title: Re: End of an era Post by: stinkey on December 20, 2019, 07:38:36 AM Normally the removal company charges by the weight and volume? I had an 18 ton lowlowder truck which made it easier 👍🎅
Title: Re: End of an era Post by: Olds on December 20, 2019, 08:31:27 AM We were supposed to have a removal truck plus a small low loader for the lathe, anvils, bikes, trike etc, but the company had just gotten the biggest removal truck I have ever seen. Very fancy lift/lower hydraulics on all three axles (and they needed it ;D ). They had to plan the route carefully and it's size, did caused a few problems in the village.
