Title: Snow day Post by: Manky Monkey on December 27, 2017, 03:54:27 PM Woke up this morning to find it snowing heavily here in Hampshire. So I walked to work. Lots of discussion about whether we should go out delivering in it. In the end we were told to use our discretion & only go down roads we thought were safe -in other words, if you have an accident, we warned you, so it's your fault.
More or less all melted again now. You know you're getting old when you no longer see it as a thing of wonder, but just a pain in the bum. :( Title: Re: Snow day Post by: Manky Monkey on December 27, 2017, 03:55:21 PM .

Title: Re: Snow day Post by: Manky Monkey on December 28, 2017, 04:40:25 PM I've been to Oxford this morning, then down to Brighton this afternoon. Snow on the hills on the outskirts of London, but mostly clear on the roads. It's 4.30pm now & you can feel the temperature dropping outside. Looks like I'll be scraping the car windscreen again in the morning.
Title: Re: Snow day Post by: minimutly on December 28, 2017, 11:56:39 PM We've had a bit out here in SW Wales, it's not supposed to snow here, but we're 800 feet up, so if it does it usually closes the roads. One morning I was driving to work, whump, over the drifts, next thing, anothe whump, no drive, 4 wheels in the air..
