Title: New digs
Post by: Stix on February 25, 2017, 12:51:03 PM

Wife wants to return to U.K., not for me so I will be here and we will just pop on the ferry from Cherbourg to Poole and spend time together that way. Nice workshop space plus the small barn as a garage, be nice to get all my tools and stuff out of storage and be able to tinker again.

Should be room enough for a few or pitch a tent in the back garden, sure I can find some heavy lifting that will need doing.🤓🤓🤓

Sorry it hasn't worked out as both of you had hoped. A big move isn't easy even if all parties are looking forward to it. I hope everything works out okay.

Does this mean your wife's sewing room is on the move again?  :o

Wow, I didn't look at the property before I posted. Beautiful place. Didn't know property existed at that type of price. Nice and quiet looking too until you start tinkering.  :D   Sit on mower required by the looks. Great reason to buy.

Jay jay, sewing room has now gone to another owner as we have no where to store it and it won't be needed in France.
Kev  yes finally got there but not the way I would have preferred but you have to make the best of what you got, Just can't get my head into living permanently in the Uk with the way them that are supposed to be in charge treat the people they are supposed to be working for, a little bit of peace and quiet with only 3 neighbours will best suit my thinking at the moment, and the ferry port is only a couple f hours away so Pompey or Poole is just a short hop away for visits etc. ;D ;D

Hope it works well for you in France.   Mike has often talked about moving to France (Normandy, we like it there!) but I have grandchildren growing up a few miles away and I love being a Granny.   Don't think he'd want to go now anyway, now he's 78 and I'm nearly 70 it's good to have family nearby to help out if needed.
