Part of the Brighton Tattoo Expo this weekend. An indoor display of traditional 60s "Lead Sled" Kustoms.

Did you go Andy? £25 seemed a bit rich.

I think it was 25 in advance, so possibly more on the day.
No, Loony, Tom & I had talked of going but on the day I hadn't heard from anyone, so jumped in the car & nipped down to Somerset for a steam rally instead. Loon & Tom did eventually get organised & go though. The car show was part of the Brighton Tattoo Expo. They're both heavily inked, so I imagine spent most of the day in that part of the show. I'm a blank canvas, (I'm fascinated by the whole tatt' thing, but got no interest in getting one), so it would've been wasted on me. Several of the cars there belonged to mates & others are regulars at the Dutch hotrod show we go to, so I'd seen most of them before. A bit o' steam & a Cornish pasty suited me fine.

A better way to spend 25 quid.

:) I'm told it was a very cool show -in the foyer of the exhibition centre where the tattoo show was held. Haven't seen Loon or Tom since to get their view. It was organised by Miles of Jackhammer hotrod shop, who's a mate & one of the Brit crew who go to Holland each year. So I ought to have gone & supported him, but you can't do 'em all.

I do like looking at well inked tattoos. I have a couple of books on body art. My children (in their 30s) have some really good ones. They are both into the Swiss artist Giger (think the film Alien as he created the look of that alien being) whose art is really out there. If you are not familiar with his work it's worth looking him up. I've seen his work copied on a few motorbikes and a truck.

If you are interested, this link shows you some images found by Google:

The Brighton show would have been interesting but like I said, a bit rich but I suppose hiring that venue wasn't cheap.

Are we going to see a new tattoo on Sunday (or aren't you coming to Basingstoke)?

Did you take any photos of the event?

Unfortunately not Jay Jay. Was eyeing up a guy from Denmark to add to my arm, but he was busy all day, then dissapeared in the late afternoon.
