A good little show that regularly raises funds for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

Come along to see classic and vintage cars, motorcycles and ex-Army vehicles and an autojumble!

(Vehicle numbers will be limited due to the location of the static show)

Agree with JJ, it's a nice, easy going little show in the centre of Farnham, with funds raised going to charity.

I was chatting to Tony Oily Bike at the show & said I was sure it normally clashed with the Dorking swapmeet. Usually I do Dorking & call in at Farnham on the way home, by which time it's starting to wind down & is very quiet. It was nice to get there in the morning & see it at it's busiest.
Nope, didn't see Jacko.

E-Type, Triumph Stag & TR

A pair of Surrey registered Austin Maxis (for the younger readers, they're pronounced Austin "Maxee")

They're from a time when we had the (British) Mini, so the name kinda tied in.

Rover P5 s.

The far model is the Coupe, and has a 'factory' roof chop.

The P5 was often seen on the news as it was a car used by the Prime Minister.

Looks like I've fallen into the 'include a dog photo' bunch.............

Bedford bus

A very clean 1958 Ford Edsel.

The Edsel was named after Henry Ford's only recognised son (Rodney, as in Dave!)

Unfortunatly, the Ford Edsel often gets included in 'Worst Car' lists, with the 1958 much-discussed grille taking a fair bit of the flack.

Lovely Ford V8 Pilot.

The police used these as back in their day (launched in 1947) as there was a lot of power to be had from that V8, and the luckily, the Pilot was a right hand drive model!

This little Nash Metropolitan drew a lot of attention.

Its one of these the Mr Phunkie is restoring.

Unusual design feature rear-end Studebaker.

Lotsa metal-work curves, lotsa glass-work curves too.

A rather rare and tidy 1933 Raleigh with Sturmey Archer engine and gearbox. (Hillman Minx in the background)

Girder forks supply the front end suspension as this was the era before telescopic forks. Rear suspension is by the flex of the rear tyre's sidewalls, and rider comfort is courtesy of a couple of bouncy springs!

Andy's photo shows the handlebar arrangement where the cables route their way through the bars (as opposed to being out in the open), a trick that gets used in the custom-bike build scene 80 years later.

Many folk know of Sturmey Archer having grown up with their bicycle hub-gears.
