Title: Nissan Micra Into Old Mini Subframe Post by: Plasticpig on February 14, 2016, 07:55:59 PM Hi All.
I have been stalled on my Micra trike build as we have not had a dry day for eons. I had started on a rear end to drop the Micra lump into, and was going to make a wishbone/A-arm suspension using the Micra hubs. Being stuck indoors, I have been surfing the web, and found that people have been dropping various small jap engines into old mini's for ages. It turns out that the Micra engine will go straight into a Mini front subframe with hardly any mods, so I am looking for one to have a look at. Still might have to renew them, so I will see how it turns out.
I really want to get something on the road by the end of the year. Title: Re: Nissan Micra Into Old Mini Subframe Post by: Manky Monkey on February 14, 2016, 11:02:54 PM I know that feeling!

The orange subframe photo is taken from the Trinnie Mini site. A section is cut out of the drivers side to clear the Micra crankshaft pully, and some sheet welded in.
