A few years ago it was the other way around. Diesel's a by product of petrol so ought to be cheaper -couldn't possibly be because they sell more of it so can make more profit on it could it?!

Credit or debit card only, all self service. As there was no branding, there was little incentive to produce good fuel. This together with shortages of materials, and the drive to produce quantity, meant that quality suffered. Pool petrol was all that was available until 1953 and nearly came back in the 70s due to the oil crisis. Well that's what I've been told.
