Title: handlebars on a Reliant

Looking at an old post on here by gtchippy,he was going to fit bars on a standard reliant chassis /front end.Has anyone done this succesfully? Anyone got any info?

Never seen it done. Not sure why anyone would want to, unless it's a disability adaption like the old Invacar that could have tiller, handlebars or steering wheel.
A geared (chain and sprockets) system to the original steering box would do but I think you would end up with very heavy and direct steering.

I just can't see why any one would go to all that trouble. As Olds said, it would have to be chain and sprocket you would have to work out the right size sprockets. Was there not some thing like that done on scrapheap challenge? not so long ago i don't think it worked out so well for them.
