Title: Babs & Bluebird at Pendine 90 years on. Tues 21 July 2015 Post by: Tony oily bike on May 15, 2015, 04:42:34 PM Info a little sketchy, but it looks like Babs AND Malcolm Campbell's 350hp Sunbeam ‘Bluebird’ will return to Pendine Sands, exactly 90 years after Malcolm Campbell's achieved 150.87mph on the famous sands, for a commemorative slow speed run.

Tazet & I called in at Pendine a few years ago when I was collecting parts for my Pop. Amazing place. Babs was on display in the little museum on the sea front. Showed the Sunbeam sitting in the sunshine, and in the background was Napier Railton (of Brooklands and Land Speed record fame). Some footage on the national tea-time TV news (both BBC & ITV), with good coverage on the regional BBC South News channel. Good chance it'll be shown again during the regional BBC South News tonight 10.25 - 10.35. No sign of Babs at all, anyone know if it was there or if the Napier make any runs on the sand?
