Title: Motorcycle Jumble - Popham - Sun 12th April - Organised by Hampshire VJMC Post by: Tony oily bike on March 30, 2015, 02:25:52 PM This is the jumble that used to be at Badshot Lea near Farnham/Aldershot, organised by the Hampshire section of the VJMC (Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club).
http://www.vjmc.com/events.html Flyer says: £5 for pitches, £2 for entry. 8am to 2pm, bikes and motorcycle parts only (and from what I remember the other year, there were a few bit of British stuff too). Onsite toilets and caterers. All profits to charity. http://www.vjmc.com/Popham2015.pdf Title: Re: Motorcycle Jumble - Popham - Sun 12th April - Organised by Hampshire VJMC Post by: Manky Monkey on March 30, 2015, 07:17:16 PM I was planning on doing the Dorking bike jumble that day but might be tempted here instead by the prospect of XS650 parts.

Chevy Rick and I usually do both. You will just have to get to Dorking earlier, like when the cockerel crows. ;)Title: Re: Motorcycle Jumble - Popham - Sun 12th April - Organised by Hampshire VJMC Post by: Manky Monkey on April 02, 2015, 07:58:23 AM On a Sunday?! I don't think so!

Mind you, you get to shows before the marshals do Rick! :D

Did see Tony Oily Bike, Terry T & Muffin though.
A lovely warm Spring morning & lots of stalls to peruse. I came away with about 60 quid's worth of XS650 Yamaha parts, some of which I then bartered with Tom & some I sold to Lunatic. Recycling at it's best. A nice morning's foraging. Title: Re: Motorcycle Jumble - Popham - Sun 12th April - Organised by Hampshire VJMC Post by: Manky Monkey on April 12, 2015, 07:10:53 PM .

Title: Re: Motorcycle Jumble - Popham - Sun 12th April - Organised by Hampshire VJMC Post by: Manky Monkey on April 13, 2015, 12:08:39 PM No idea where the Brightstones come from or if they're genuine vintage or repro. Quite nice looking bikes though.
Yup, I gave a fiver for the tank, (possibly early 100cc Suzuki), & 5 or 6 for a brand new old stock Honda cap, still in it's bag, to fit it. Loony bought it off me for his longterm XS650 project. Mr Oily Bike was trading -how'd you get on Tony? In addition to the more familiar tire manufacturing nowadays, the company produced bicycles beginning in 1946, powered bicycles beginning in 1949, and motorbikes from 1958 through 1971. This grew out of an automotive part trading company in Japan run by Soichiro Ishibashi, the company name being taken from a literal translation of his name in English -- Ishi - stone, Bashi - bridge. http://www.bridgestonemotorcycle.com/index2.html Title: Re: Motorcycle Jumble - Popham - Sun 12th April - Organised by Hampshire VJMC Post by: Tony oily bike on April 14, 2015, 08:14:53 AM No idea where the Brightstones come from or if they're genuine vintage or repro. Trading seemed slow, others thought the same too, but then I had some British stuff that needed a new home as well as a couple of Japanese bits. My mate Rob sold the red 750 Honda in one of your pics along with quite a few N.O.S. spares, so he was fairly well pleased, but he started with his van packed to the rafters, and it looked just about as full after!
