, , , , , , gone and got a ,,gasser,, :) a well known car of the past ,, isnt it funny how a late night personal message (PM) can turn up something good late last evening i had a pm asking if i still had the f350 sat here and did i fancy something in exchange/deal ???? well names and deails were exchanged and after a few enquireys and a couple of telephone calls i now own the gasser and he owns an f350 what famous ,,gasser,, i here you ask the car formaly known as ,,,HOOLIGAN,,,, then late as ,LOU,S CANNON,..... ok its good but on a deal involving an f350 and not much more you cant expect everything she is minus a few vital parts but is sound solid and clean and she is ,,FECKIN AWESOME,,, tonight i,m a very happy ,spanners,, well chuffed to own a car that is a ince in a lifetime oppertunity ... Had a Chevy 10 bolt built for a mates car , buy axle, narrow, new strange shafts and restud wheel pattern came to just on £1000. Mind you I've got that much in an English Ford axle !! How wide does it need to be and what stud pattern plus what ratio.

I'm just thinking that there may be more readily available and cheaper axles dependent of engine output and width.

but wheels are here ,tyres are being picked from swap meet by a friend tommorrow along with spare holley carb, fenderwall headers,, ladder bars etc ,, etc,, rear axle with a LSD is waiting for me to collect on monday locally but in the needs stripping and narrowing and rebuilding front axle is back at the design stage yet again,, steering box is another item that needs collecting at a time suitable with its donor. good job i,v got a fresh daily /parts hauler ::) Title: Re: GONE AND DONE IT, Post by: Manky Monkey on March 01, 2015, 07:02:37 AM Sounds like it's coming together pretty quickly Mike.

i,v collected ,stripped, and rebuilt a front axle , still short of new discs etc but now working on mounting it in the right position. engine should have been on felixstowe docks on monday the 13th but ship has been delayed and has now been diverted via rotterdam so it will be early may before it lands so ,basingstoke, trip is now out of the window..
