Title: its a green thing.
Post by: the coppersmith on December 07, 2014, 05:01:44 PM
Just recently I've been working on a few cars from our local club, friends and my own of course. The wife has pointed out how many green cars are being left on my drive, I never noticed, but.

Mrs Olds & I were talking today about colour choice for the Speedster. She would like BRG, but I said that it will probably end up maroon as there seemed to be so many specials and kits in green, especially BRG.

My truck & my bike will both be green when they're finished. I've had a lot of green bikes & trikes over the years & only recently realised that my first ever bike, (a Honda CB200), & my first ever car, (a Vauxhall Viva), were also both green. My Mum's always said green's an unlucky colour for travelling -& thinking back on how much I've cursed & sworn at most of mine over the years, maybe she's right.
It ain't easy being green.

My second car was a green Moggy Minor that only ever let me down once - I had to stop and clean the carb in the middle of Wales in the middle of the night!

The only other green one was a green and white Herald Coupé shared with my first husband - wonderful car, can't remember why we parted with that.

I'll have any car, any colour, as long as it's not a Mk 3 Escort!
