Title: Brighton Burn Up - 14/09/14
Post by: JayJay on September 14, 2014, 05:17:27 PM
Chevy Rick, Alfie and I went to Brighton today for the Ace Cafe Brighton Burn Up or Rockers' Reunion as it is also known. Another early start. Left at 6 to get there at 8am. The bikes let in early are club affiliated. The rest have to wait until 10am. That's when the roar of engines really starts. We spent practically 4 hours there only to see Postie Dave, and Terry T just as we were leaving! Great to see you both.

I think I said last year I wouldn't go again this year. If I think of going next year can you all tell me not to. It is a nice atmosphere but the stalls have got less and less and it just seems to have lost something.

As usual Alfie got lots of fuss. He spent a lot of the time on my scooter. Rick had the good idea of putting Alf's cushion by my feet so Alf was in clover.

Loads of bikes as usual and as we left Madeira Drive, the bikes were also parked on the pavements on the top road. We had a look around elsewhere in Brighton for a couple of hours and bikes were still roaring in as we were on our way out at 2ish.  Mind you the weather was great so why not.

Brightona is the next event we will go to there.  It is to raise money for charity so everyone always seems in good cheer. This event is for motorbikes/trikes/scooters predominantly but over the past few years more hot rods and american classics have been coming along as well. Brightona is in the same place on Sunday October 12th 2014 (9am-5pm).

It was nice to see you JayJay Rick and Alfie.
It was my 1st trip to this event me and a mate rode up thinking what route to take. what with goodwood on as well and coming up the a27 I thought the traffic would be horrendous at Chichester and Brighton. but it was clear a nice ride up. not sure what happens when you get there so found the 1st space to park 2 trikes just inside the drive so saw all the bikes trikes and scooters ride in. as JJ said the atmosphere was good. as for store again as JJ said there was not a lot of stores but it was a good day out if I do this one again it will be from the ACE café and ride down with them
Trying to talk a few more mate into coming to Brightona
