I've always wondered -were mark 2 Jags fitted with wire wheels as standard, as a factory option, or not at all? Seems almost every example I see has them, but I actually prefer steels, (they just look more ...serious to me, not so showy). When I was a teenager I used to take my Brit bike rims to Bettie, the old lady at the local bike shop, (or at least she seemed old when I was 18). She'd straighten out my wobbly spokes almost while I waited -turns out she was Mr Olds' aunt. It'd only be after she'd banned me from the shop till I apologised that I'd realise she had my wheels & I was going nowhere till I'd slunk back in & mumbled an apology. Title: Re: Plymouth Hoe Jag event Post by: the coppersmith on August 14, 2014, 07:52:22 AM It seems that 6 firework manufacturers compete over 2 nights, judging is subjective, by 3 celebrity judges, normally a Councillor, fire chief and a local TV star, best one walks off with a cash prize and a gold cup. Been going 13 years now, and brings thousands on to Plymouth Hoe, this year they had MTV crash, then the car and bus show, military bands, then this, Plymouth has come alive (again) and long may it continue.
