Sounds like good news but I can't help wondering if the government will then put all sorts of restrictions on 'historic vehicles'.

That's always been our ( ACE) concern . No MOTs for the NEW definition of Historics is under discussion currently , only 30 years old and totally standard.

Is it true that in eu countries that have this the vehicles in question are heavily restricted in use Mr Kapri sir ?

Many are restricted as to distance from home , or miles traveled per year. Also so countries you have to lodge a travel plan several weeks before using the vehicle ! Also in EU cities that have emission zones they ARE allowed in but have to have a 'passport' that confirms that they are totally standard.

Right so if this is adopted here the use of an historic as your main car, as in my case will not be allowed, so thats me stuffed, because i can't afford a euro box never mind tax it, and im not old enough for a bus pass yet, bugger!
