The roads around here are awful and while the local council seems to be trying to sort it out, some smaller holes have now become dangerous craters.
This one is on a bend, on the road between Oakley and Lunatics workshop. When I carefully drove into it to give an idea of scale the frame came to rest on the edge. So it's at least 5" deep ! :o

Forward the picture to your local council and get a reciept to say you given a picture and description of a dangerous pot hole. They have to fix it within 28 days.

Make sure you use the word 'dangerous' - they are then obliged to fix it as a priority cos if it causes an accident after they've been told, the victim can sue them with a very high chance of success!

As everywhere, we have similar "moonscapes" here, and whilst bad on 3 wheels, hitting them on two is........well I shall leave it to your own experience,dangerous? bloody suicidal!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(, Morrag

As an addendum, I should have added, that last year, a particularly bad series of surface slots near me, I reported to our local councillor, taking pics. and even dragging him over to see them, and they were indeed repaired in a month or so! unfortunately, the repair lasted approx. 3 months before returning to the previous, dangerous condition......ho, hum :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(..Morrag

This hole had already been reported. There is an online system buy I called direct as I felt (and said) this one was too dangerous. Yesterday while riding the XVS to Sherbourne I very nearly dropped into it and I already knew it was there !
If nothing is done by tomorrow morning I may get the local Police involved, to cone it off if nothing else.
