Title: Reliant Road Tax? Post by: Simon.S on July 01, 2014, 04:27:23 PM I've found a few bits of info but not sure if it's correct - I heard in the 2014 Budget that Road Tax for ALL Reliant Robins was to be scrapped and they're now classified as a Classic Car - Can't find anything official - Can anyone throw any light on it please?
Title: Re: Reliant Road Tax? Post by: Olds on July 01, 2014, 04:38:59 PM No. It seems that Osborne announced that a 40 year, historic, tax free status would be introduced from 1st April 2014, replacing the pre 1973 rule.
So if your Reliant Robin is over 40 years old, (made before 1st Jan 1974) hurray. Must admit I missed this bit of information at the time. Still not sure if this is going to be a rolling 40 year rule as there is some conflicting info from the Gov. Title: Re: Reliant Road Tax? Title: Re: Reliant Road Tax? Post by: Olds on July 01, 2014, 05:04:49 PM As the Robin started life late in 73 I don't think it will affect too many of these yet.
