Title: in court tomorrow. wednesday Post by: dobber on April 29, 2014, 09:36:54 PM got to go down to grantham magistrates court from wakefield, pleading not guilty to not giving a staffs name for a speeding offence. i have to prove that i made reasonable effort to identify the driver. allmost impossible for me to prove. . the police are legally bound to give me a NIP within 14 days. i got nothing till 5 weeks later. they claim they made reasonable effort just by sending a letter through the post.
seems a little one sided. im the wrong side of 29 to be going through all this. thought my court days ended when the mark 2 cortina went. tomorrow evening will see me in a very good or exceptionally bad mood. Title: Re: in court tomorrow. wednesday Post by: andyrennison on April 29, 2014, 11:36:29 PM Oh bu**ger. If you wasn't in the vehicle, just tell em it was one one x staff, and ask if they have any photographic evidence to help you identify who? Tough one that. Good luck
Title: Re: in court tomorrow. wednesday Post by: dobber on April 30, 2014, 12:20:13 PM just got back. was first in .proved i made all effort i could by asking for photographic evidence, asking the police for help and the log i keep for 3 weeks was enough as i was meant to be notified in 14 days. prosecutor said 3 weeks wasnt enough as if there was an accident it could take months to come. brief said if there was an accident police would be there. still going to end up costing me 400 quid but at least no points.
not good at public speaking but must have got what little i said across. Title: Re: in court tomorrow. wednesday Post by: Manky Monkey on April 30, 2014, 05:41:19 PM Congratulations then -I think.
