Interesting point made in the link in that the gvt would get paid twice for one month. Where the seller can only get a refund on full months but the buyer also has to pay the whole month even if he bought the bike say the 15th of the month.

Maybe they will cut out the extra cost for paying for anything other than a full year and then we could purchase tax for shorter periods and not have to stick to months. For example, the scenario above would have no overlap and the tax ends and starts on whatever day you want it to. That seems too simple though. Their computers probably couldn't cope with that!

I remember the day's when you could tax your car or bike three times a year.
