Title: Rear diff problems
Post by: panthershaun on November 16, 2006, 08:05:45 PM
OK guys, I need some help.
My Panther trike project is slowly coming together, I have the chain drive diff, Austin 7 wire wheels and a pair of Triumph Spitfire half shafts with drums.
I need to be able to keep the diff adjustable for the final drive chain unless I can fit a chain tensioner(jockey wheel) the problem I have is the spitfire half shafts are rigidly fitted to the hubs so I would need to have the wheels moving the same as the diff !!!!!! unless I can find some half shafts/drums fitted with a sliding spline and 2 UJ's, any idea's??? ???

Just a quick drawing for you. I can't say it's my idea, but it might work. Both the bike frame and subframe have tabs welded to them, with slots cut for adjustment.
