Title: Bluebird started after 2000 hour rebuild
Post by: Tony oily bike on January 29, 2014, 07:34:39 PM
The Bluebird of Sir Malcolm Campbell that has been residing at National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire was fired up for the first time today after a 2000hr rebuild.

This is the car that ran at Pendine back in the early 1920's.

Can't find any videos yet...........  :(

Heard about this on the Radio 2 News this morning. Bizarrely, as I heard it on the radio in my van, the car in front of me was from the Bluebird home help agency.
First time it's been run since the motor "exploded" in the 1990s apparently.

Watched it on the news. Lovely. Vehicle still can't move under it's own power yet though.
