wonder what it revs too? I miss the two strokers on the GP circuit. Love riding pingers fast, until you need engine braking, OOOps, that was close ::) Wonder where all the engines are?

Somewhere in the depths of the tool box, I've still got a set of special tools to adjust the tappets on a GM/DETROIT, pig of a job from memory.

So was I :)  did the last year of my apprenticeship on Bedfords,  our main customer was Eastern Electricity, they brought a lot of KM's but only two or three TM's during my time as a fitter there.

One of our big customers was Southern Electric, never sold them a TM though ;) Only one I remember went to a pipe company down in Bournemouth , came back under warranty with a blown diff and the tacho ( also brand new idea then) showed him running from Bournemouth to London, fully laden at 80mph most of the way !!

We also used the Detroit diesel when I worked for a generator manufacturer . You started with a single pushbutton and before you'd taken your finger off they were taking full load without a hiccup , unlike the Cumins K series :(

The old two strokes have rocketed, have a look how much an RD200 or RD400 will set you back for a basket case. Loved Yam two strokes, my Sondel Sport RD440 was much better than my KH400. Wish I had them both now though

My old RD200, built for Thruxton but I used on the road for a year. Limited steering lock, narrow power band, noisy as hell but insane fun :D
Got pulled over so often that it had to go.

Think I may have to rethink my plans, big 2 stroke now wanted, RD400? Suzuki Cobra? How about something stupid, a Saab 96? or Bond 3 wheeler with an upgrade.
