Title: Happy C Word
Post by: Plasticpig on December 12, 2013, 08:20:03 PM
As we have already seen a toy run, is it too early to say HAPPY C WORD to everyone?
Hope you all have a great Christmas and safe new year.

Cheers. Doug

Of course its too early. December the 24th is too early!
I suppose that we might as well get it over with then. I mean it's not as if it happens many times in a year. A bit like the flu or going to the dentist, just something one has to put up with. But at least the dentist is over quickly and no relatives get involved. OK so dentist was a bad example. A plague might be a bit closer to the mark.   :(

Anyhow here goes....

If I really have to........

I mean ................

Happy Christmas and a merry new year ;D

I'm a Postman, working 12 hour shifts delivering all the stuff people have bought online to give to people they don't like, who don't want it anyway.
And I've got a cold.

-Damn you Father Christmas!  >:(

Its a pity they cant move Christmas to July, it would be good to have the time off in the warmer weather and the new year could be in August ??? I'm not a very Christmassy person, I've even worked all through the break to avoid being nice to people who dont really like me either. Still, might get a set of spanners or a timing light, even a torque wrench, cos I've been really good lately, only pee'd the neighbours off once, Ididnt know it was so late and the silencer was missing when I fired the stealth up ;D

I do like C********, but the people who put up their decorations the week after Halloween spoil it for me, and having to listen to all the crap on the radio for three months beforehand.

I was in brum weds and Thursday this week. Went out weds eve to get a m&s salad, ended up in the ch****mas market eating a one meter long bratwurst listening to Christmas songs played on a steel drum. Now, what is wrong with that hey!

Starting the festive food binge early then. :D
Obviously Birmingham is a stronghold of English Christmas tradition.

Its not the songs, its the stupid adverts on local radio. There is one for a Cash & carry which has Santa laughing, and it sounds more like a death rattle. (Real radio and Nation, if Morrag listens)

Why do they DO that?  Why couldn't they hang on till AFTER the holiday?  I've been made redundant twice - both just before Christmas.

Strangely enough, they mentioned on Radio 4 this evening that this is the most German Christmas ever, with German markets, beer & that weird Stollen cake becoming more popular than traditional British fare -didn't Germanic Prince Albert introduce the whole Victorian idea of Crimbo anyway?

Good luck with the job situation Chewie. I've lost your address in my last house move so no card in time for Christmas this year I'm afraid mate.  :-*

'didn't Germanic Prince Albert introduce the whole Victorian idea of Crimbo anyway?'

And having a big steel ball inserted in the end of your willy.
