Title: a breath of fresh air
Post by: scannerzer on November 14, 2013, 09:55:26 PM
ok so painting time is approaching and I've been gathering supplies so far the list is etch primer, 1k high build primer and a synthetic black for pedals tin ware etc for the frame I'll need either 2k or water based for the frame and fibreglass bits, the paint will probably be waterbased as that's what i sell in work but the primer and lacquer are 2k , my compressor (or budget) won't run to an air fed mask so what are the alternatives.

we sell mouldex 8000 series masks in work and are told they a suitable for 2k but I'd like to be sure, any thoughts

Eddie

Yes it is getting hard to get now, I get my celly from Jawel Paints in Birmingham, by post, they will mix any colour you want, can even send them a sample and they will mix the colour for you. can have it in 400ml aerosol cans or by the litre. You must state that it is for restoration purposes.

Paul.

The moldex 8000 series mask is the mask I've used for the past 8 years using 2k paint just make sure you have the correct filters fitted to it
