No2 daughter and her partner don't have a TV either - they download progs and films to either a laptop or Ipad (not sure which), hook it up to a projector, and watch it on their white wall!  - bit techy for us simple folks though!

When I lived alone in a flat & first got rid of the TV, I used to get regular visits from the licencing guys -they simply couldn't believe that anyone could exist without one.

I could easily exist without a TV as long as I have a radio - and computer of course!

No speed cameras,I never wore a helmet unless going on a long trip,Life was just so easy.

We'll probably look back in 30 years time & say the same about this decade.
I didn't get my first bike till 1979, (a Honda CB200), but moved on from that to British bikes, while most of my mates were going Japanese. I belonged to a local bike club & there were a few Brit bikers in the ranks that refused to accept the new fangled imports & we rode our Brits all over the country, usually with our Belstaff jacket pockets stuffed with spare bulbs, nuts & bolts, rolls of tape etc. I spent most of my formative years with black fingernails & smelling faintly of hot oil & petrol. So I was a retro rocker, 25 years after the originals.
The tea stall on the Chelsea Bridge is still there & does very well from the hotrodders attending the Chelsea Cruise each month.

Was only saying to a mate yesterday we were talking old British bikes we had back in the 70s/80s we could retire rich men if we had them all still i dare say most on here would be exactly the same.
He had been looking on fleabay at a T150 it was 2500 quid which seemed cheap but when he looked in to it owner was German and bike was in Ireland they wanted 200 quid to ship it over. It all seemed a bit strange to him so he left it, Never saw the add myself but that was the drift of it from what i could gather.  Did anyone else see this add?.  ???

When I used to travel all over on my own doing the Round Britain Rally, first on the bike then the trike, I was often acosted by elderly gents who had half a dozen Brit bikes in the shed at home.  Had some fascinating conversations about what they used to get up to!

Found this old piccie of me and my "gang" back in 1969. My mate has just built his A10 into a chop, we all had cafe racers 'til then. Me with a tie and my future missus in not a lot!
