Title: Canadian Pumpkin People festival Post by: Manky Monkey on October 28, 2013, 11:36:41 AM While I was on holiday in Kentville, Nova Scotia, the locals were celebrating the harvest with their annual Pumpkin People festival.
Households & businesses all around the town put up figures on a chosen theme. People travel from miles around to have their photographs taken with them. This year's theme was Inventions that changed the World, so there were lots of mobile phones, computers etc, plus cars, trains, even the space shuttle. The festival's held around Thanksgiving, so has nothing to do with Halloween, although the pumpkin heads rot quite quickly, leading to the rather disturbing sight of decomposing pumpkin zombies marching through the streets. Title: Re: Canadian Pumpkin People festival Post by: Baychimp on October 30, 2013, 12:16:34 AM I wouldn't eat those bits! You don't know what they used to make the holes. ;D
