Title: engine choice
Post by: spanners on May 18, 2013, 06:05:20 AM
as the title says ,

as you all know by now ,EMILY, has tried my patience just about to the end ,, even a prospective buyer failed to turn up and when i phoned he gave a ,lame, excuse, ::).

so if she wont sell
what choice of engine would you go for ,,,v8 of course ,, but what ,,and at what price ,, who,s got something in their shed ,
if its other than an oldsmobile (small block) a pontiac, or a cast iron buick,, it would mean a change of transmission also ,

any idea,s  ,,help,,

ta,

Small block chevs are popular here. Dress up and hot up parts are everywhere.

1uz Toyota v8s are getting popular! Cheaper to buy but more expensive to dress

Rovers seem to be the Pommy choice.

My $0.02

and?
i was trying to sort out  and order enough bits to patch up the old 260 when the parts dealer said ,, you know the other option is to replace it with a 307,, i said yep i would if i could get one at a decent price ,, he said there,s one sat here on the shelf, :) :)
so i should collect it tuesday all being well ,
from a reputable yank dealer , :)
