Luckily this one is local, Last year I went by bike, then had to go back in the car, to pick up stuff I bought  ::)
One of the reasons for a pick-up trike, but its still not on the road :'(

So what's the next step now you've passed the MSVA Dave? (sorry. Thread hijack!).

MOT - weight ticket - trip to DVLA in Theale. Hopefully all next week
Today the DVLA phoned and asked for a scan of the MSVA certificate and after much pondering decided that I need a weight ticket from a weighbridge because the weight stated on the certificate was unladen. When asked what weight they required the reply was "unladen" ???
I now have both dent in the wall and a real bad headache >:(

Hi Rick. nearly misted you. normanly spot JJ or Alfie first. but your whiskers gave you away this time. i was nice to see you sorry misted JJ. but as she was up bright and early she was having a rest in the car while you and Alfie had a look.
wasn't a bad turn out for the first meet. plus it was a nice day for a run on the trike. £3.00p a Rick that's more then me. that old AJS was tempting. but i would probably get lynched if it brought it or TRIKED it ???. lot of Japanese stuff but no goldwing bits. see you soon

Looks like I was a few hours behind you Rick. I was at the Dorking meet too, then over to Popham, via the Newlands Corner bike meet in Clandon, near Guildford.
Didn't see any Monkeys, but did buy a bag of XS650 Yam parts -a pair of engine side casings, a tappet cover, a pair of finned exhaust clamps & a couple of brake pad retaining sets. Then I treated myself to a very pleasant lunch at the roadside diner next door.

Don't know why, but I loved this model boat.

Maybe Andy, it's because he has a look of Dick Dastardly about him. Catch that Pigeon (the maritime version)!

Sorry I missed you Terry. It is always nice to see you. I was under the weather today so stayed in the car for Popham. I  got my scooter out at Dorking and had a good look around. I bought a lovely leather roll bag for £15 and a really nice Harley single seat off Steve Piper, who I think is on this forum occasionly.

Beakys are a nice friendly bunch and I enjoy going there.  I also love watching the sun come up as we travel to Dorking, as it is probably the one event we leave home early enough to see it.

I did have a short walk round at Salisbury MAG. Pity I missed Voodoo as it is ages since I have seen him. I had a go at the throwing event but I think the case of beer wasn't likely to be won by me.

Good day though really as weather was good and traffic was pretty good too.  I worked out Rick and I did 219 miles today.

Anyway, tucked up in bed now with flu tabs inside me just in case.  :-\

JJ  :)

Sorry you were not feeling well JJ.
Not so many sellers this year. Linda was happy as I didn't buy anything (not so happy when I suggested a new trike build  ;) )
We were leaving as the Norton & maroon Triumph arrived.
This one looks familiar -

We must be more organised and try and meet up at these events. It would have been nice to say hello to you both.

P.S. I think the tabs have worked  8)

I was there just after 08.00 and gone by 9.45 so think I missed those of you I know...............

Ended up at the Stock Car meeting in Aldershot with Dslam & brother, a pretty good meeting.

Hearing the sound of around 15 V8-powered F1 Stock cars racing on 1/4 mile oval does the soul good!!  ;D

And if anyone's seen banger racing before, imagine the 1/4 mile oval with 70 bangers going for it!!!! Amazing!
